What’s included in this estimate?
Plastic cups are 12 oz. Liquor bottles are 750 ml unless shown otherwise. Bitters use 4 oz bottles. Whole citrus is for garnishes; juice is listed separately. Ginger beer and cola use standard 12 oz cans.
Ice is for serving mixed drinks. Add extra for chilling bottles and outdoor heat. Beer, wine beyond cocktail Prosecco, and nonalcoholic guest drinks are outside this list.
Sweet & sour mix is a prepared-mix option for Margarita and part of the Long Island recipe. If making fresh Margaritas with lime juice and syrup, buy sweet & sour only if another selected cocktail needs it.
Moderate uses the existing VIP Mix baseline. Light reduces consumption quantities by 25%; Heavy increases them by 30%. Ice uses a separate allowance for 50 guests over four hours: Light 40 lb, Moderate 50 lb, and Heavy 60–80 lb, rounded up to 10 lb bags. Longer events grow more slowly after four hours. Changing your event details resets shopping checkmarks.

This free event alcohol calculator provides a practical shopping estimate based on your guest count, bar service duration, and selected cocktails. It organizes the results into liquor, mixers, supplies, and garnishes so you can review each part of your bar setup separately.
Choose a Focused Cocktail Menu
For efficient service, we recommend a focused menu of 2–4 signature cocktails, with up to five options. However, the calculator allows you to select any number of available cocktails and adjusts the ingredient estimate based on your complete selection.
Account for Guests and Service Time
Longer bar service and larger guest counts generally require more products, but consumption does not increase at the same rate forever. The calculator uses practical private-event patterns and includes a reasonable backup allowance.
